Pastor Shane Ogle preached his first sermon March 10, 1988 in Sulphur, Louisiana. Shortly thereafter, he would begin his service as Youth Pastor in Mansfield, Missouri under Lead Pastor, Stan Welch. Two years later he met and eventually married his wife, Brandy (Littrell), as he served as youth pastor in Madison, Tennessee.  Brandy is the Family Ministries Director of Rockwood Church and the leader of Selah Ladies’ Home Fellowship.

After having served in several ministry capacities over the course of seven years together, Pastor Shane and Brandy moved to Sumner County for the sole purpose of creating a life-giving church. Along the way, they have added a young son to the Ogle family – destined to be an avid Chiefs fan (Pastor Shane is from Kansas City).

As Founding Pastor and Lead Pastor of Rockwood Church, Pastor Shane’s passionate pursuit is best expressed in the mantra, “a King, a cross, a brand new life!” The Ogles truly love this city and are about building up people for the cause of Christ.

Pastor Del Pharris serves as Executive Pastor of Rockwood Church. Pastor Del and his wife, Nicky, have served in various Student Ministries roles over the past several years, as well as, other support ministries in the church.  God brought them to Rockwood Church, to oversee all the function and flow of the ministry as a whole as it touches the lives of people. Nicky assists Pastor Del in his ministry role, as well as, directs our Riverside Kids Nursery Ministry on Sunday mornings. The Pharris’ vision is to minister an authentic Jesus to this generation!

Del and Nicky have two beautiful little girls. Its Del and Nicky’s passion for ministry that makes them such a great fit and an invaluable part of Rockwood Church.

arthuryArtie Skahl has called Nashville home for more than a decade now.  He’s written and performed songs in venues and clubs all over Nashville. On Easter of 2001, Artie had an amazing encounter with God and his life has never been the same since.  ”My old lifestyle involved heavy drinking and living out the old lyrics of the songs I sang,” Artie explains.  Artie leads our worship experience at Rockwood Church, where NOW, he lives out the lyrics of the new songs he sings!

Artie’s mission in life, as the RC Worship Leader, is to touch as many people as possible for the Kingdom of God.  He is married to his lovely wife, Shannon, who helps in the nursery at Rockwood Church.  Together, the Skahl’s have five children.  We are so blessed to have the Skahl family as a part of the ministry team of our church!

jonsharaJon and Shara Baulsir are the RC Youth Directors.  Jon and Shara, both, graduated from Hendersonville High School.  They love Sumner County and they love our city.  The Baulsirs bring youthful excellence to ministry with sincere hearts of passion for the call God has on their lives.  Their great desire is to see young people come to know Jesus and to hail Him as King in their lives.

The Baulsirs have served in many capacities at Rockwood Church.  Their can-do attitude is contagious. We count it pure joy to have them as a part of our Rockwood Church team!

Philip and Suzanne Crowell are our Children’s Church Directors over 5 Stones, Rockwood Church’s Children’s Church Ministry, for grades k-6.  Philip and his wife, Suzanne do an amazing job of teaching our children the simple truths found in God’s Word.

It is not uncommon to hear great and wild stories of Philip’s creative illustrations and crazy antics in presenting Bible truths that are relevant to children.  Suzanne is also a professional photographer and contributes greatly to various creative aspects in the church.

They are blessed by two young children, a son and a daughter.  Philip and Suzanne have a real passion and desire to see all children grow up in the Lord and live His goodness all the days of their lives!
